Harry decided that maybe Neville was bothering him for a legitimate reason after all and walked back to find him. Eventually, Harry discovered what Neville had been talking about; a huge crowd was standing in one of the hallways, where tons of blood was splattered all over the walls. Marks of Voldemort were all over the place, and lying right there in the center of the hall... was... it couldn't be!
Dumbledore walked up to Harry and placed one of his wizened hands on Harry's shoulder. "I don't know how to tell you this, Harry," he said, "but, as you can see, Ginny... is dead."
Harry stood, stunned. He couldn't believe it. The girl he loved... dead. Taken from him so soon. He barely knew what to do.
